Junta Igarashi received his Ph.D. from Tohoku University in 2021.
During his Ph.D., thanks to the financial support of the Graduate Program in Spintronics, Tohoku University (GP-Spin), he had the opportunity to stay in Nancy as a research internship student, where he worked on all-optical switching in GdFeCo-based spin valves.
Junta Igarashi then joined the spin team at the Institute Jean Lamour as a postdoctoral fellow funded by JSPS Overseas Research Fellowships.
During his postdoc at the Institute Jean Lamour, he demonstrated sub-picosecond magnetization reversal in ferromagnetic spin valves for the first time.Junta Igarashi is now joining the Global Research and Development Center for Business by Quantum-AI Technology (G-QuAT) at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) in Japan. At G-QuAT, he will try to contribute to the development of quantum computing.
