Wireless and Integrated multi-parameters SAW Sensors Technologies for Implementation of a digital TWIN for electrical machines

Summary: WISSTITWIN aims at the development of a network of wireless sensors based on surface acoustic wave devices for various parameters, to be embedded in an electrical machine and aiming at providing a continuous stream of data that will result in a constantly updated digital model of said machine, known as its digital twin. The project is motivated by the fact that there is a growing interest in digital twins in a wide range of applications driven by the desire to understand, predict and optimize performance, to improve energy efficiency and to increase reliability.
