First ERC grant in the SPIN group. Congratulations Carlos !
The project MAGNETALLIEN proposed by Juan Carlos Rojas Sanchez is funded.
The search for systems with strong spin-orbit coupling, reaching the levels of the exchange interaction in magnetic materials is the core of the MAGNETALLIEN proposal which has just been selected for an ERC CoG funding. This proposal will allow to advance the exploitation of the self-torque, and above all aims to show the efficient production of high harmonics in the ac generation of spin pumping ferromagnetic resonance. A tremendous challenge, but it will achieve all-electric production of signals of tens and hundreds of GHz. Thus helping to close the sub-THz gap thanks to spintronics and spin-orbitronics.
