Charles Guillemard completed his Ph.D. entitled “Half-metal magnets Heusler compounds for spintronics” in 2019 in the SPIN team of the Institut Jean Lamour. He was working on the 70m UHV TUBE to study the epitaxial growth and characterization of magnetic thin films.

In 2020, he joined the ALBA-CELLS synchrotron facility in Barcelona, Spain, as a post-doctoral researcher at the beamline BOREAS, to investigate magnetism in materials at the atomic scale by using X-ray absorption spectroscopy and magnetic dichroism.

Since January 2023, he started a new position as a CNRS researcher at the Interdisciplinary Center of Nanoscience of Marseille (CINaM), France, and keeps working in the field of epitaxial growth and characterization of magnetic thin films and heterostructures with unique properties for tomorrow’s data storage and processing technologies.
