Yassine Quessab is joining Seagate Technology

Yassine was a PhD researcher in the Nanomagnetism & Spintronics groups at l’Institut Jean-Lamour. His thesis work focused on the ultrafast laser-induced magnetization switching of ferromagnetic thin films and he graduated in 2018. In January of 2019, he joined Prof. Andrew Kent’s group at New York University to work on skyrmion-based racetrack memories. He is now joining the HAMR (heat-assisted magnetic recording) Media Research & Development team at Seagate Technology in Fremont, California.
